Outer Hebrides Natural History Society
Discover the wildlife and landscapes of the archipelago of Na h-Eileanan Siar,
the Atlantic islands off the north west coast of Scotland

Curracag is a small local natural history society which encourages the study and enjoyment of the flora, fauna and fungi of the islands, from the magnificent birds of prey to the orchids of the machair and the hidden marine life of our coastal rock pools.
We are going through a period of re-organisation and have had to suspend our programme of activities and the publication of our journal: The Hebridean Naturalist.
We are in contact with the current membership, but regret that for at present we are unable to accept new members. The previous Curracag email addresses are no longer functioning, but if you require further information please contact us via this website.
In the meantime, you can join us via our Facebook group and share our encounters with the islands’ wildlife.
