Curracag is a small local natural history society which encourages the study, recording and enjoyment of the wildlife of the islands of the Outer Hebrides.

Our programme of Discovery Walks and workshops are intended to get everyone out and about, and learning about the wonderful variety of animals and plants on our doorstep. Visitors to the islands are always welcome to participate in these events.

We welcome both novices and experts and encourage everyone to take an active part in local and national surveys and to help increase our knowledge of the fauna and flora of the islands which are still largely unrecorded. Many of our members are experts in their field and the society provides a great opportunity to meet people with similar interests, sharing knowledge, experiences and an enjoyment of the fauna and flora of Outer Hebrides.
