Heather Angel is a highly versatile British award-winning wildlife photographer whose images have a strong artistic appeal as well as scientific authenticity.

For more than three decades, Heather has been at the forefront of nature photography in Britain and her work has been recognised by many awards in Britain and overseas.

Entry to the talks is free to society members / £2.00 non members

The programme of talks is as follows:-

The AGM will be an opportunity for members (new and old) to learn about the plans for the future and participate in the discussion.

Bird Survey Courses

The British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) have organised two courses entitled ‘Skills and Techniques for BTO Bird Surveys‘ and will take place in the Outer Hebrides this April.

On Thursday 20th April at the Dark Island Hotel in Benbecula
and
Saturday 22nd April at the Uig Community Centre on Lewis.

Both courses will run from 10am to about 4.30pm.

The courses will have a mix of indoor and outdoor sessions, some bird identification and some survey methods, and should be lots of fun!

The cost of the courses are subsidised to a nominal £5 for the day (to help cover refreshment costs).

Note: These courses are open to all – not only BTO members.

If you have any items/issues that you would like to see discussed at the meeting please email Chris Johnson the Curracag Chair: chair@curracag.org.uk to have it added to the agenda.

New and lapsed members are equally welcome to come along and join/renew on the evening. If you are a current member and have not yet changed your standing order to cover the full amount of the new membership fee you can also come along and pay the top-up amount.
